Mexican footballer Javier Hernandez is trying hard to grab a place at Manchester United, a club that he believes is one of the biggest clubs in the world. The Mexican international sacked up a last minute winner against Newcastle to expand Manchester United’s position at the top of the Premier League table to 7 points.
Now it is heard that the Old Trafford striker is looking forward for a starting spot in the team after looking at from the bench as Robin Van Persie and Rooney stayed the first choice. Hernandez said to Goal.com in an interview that if anyone asks any player in the world and they will definitely tell you that they want to play the game ever. He added that here the competition is incredible because it is the largest club in the world. All you need to be conscious is that there are five strikers who are wondering to be a part of the games. Hernandez said that he will have only 90 minutes to prove himself.
Manchester United has four high class strikers – Hernandez, Van Persie, Rooney and Danny Welback. The former Chivas forward has also struggled a lot to strengthen a regular spot in Alex Ferguson’s beginning 11 this season. As because Rooney is injured for the last two weeks and Welback recently sidelined because of illness, Hernandez has a chance to grab a spot in the team.
But against the Newcastle, Hernandez failed to utilize many opportunities before finally finding out the net in the 90 minutes match. He also shared his secret to become a successful striker which is to not let any chances get to you.
But he also said that it is not possible that every time you meet the expense of every single chance that you miss because that will affect your concentration for the next chance.
